Cincy weekend with mom

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

Originally tried to post 6/30/14

So this past weekend was probably the best weekend of my life. As I have mentioned before, Phillip Phillips is my absolute favorite singer.
So this past weekend my mom and I drove up to Cincinnati to see him in concert!! We had amazing seats! Front row right behind the pit.
As my mom was getting up to go to the bathroom before the concert, she called me over to where she was standing. Guess what she saw....PHILLIP!
He's the one in the gray shirt

So as I was walking back to my seat he was closer to the fence. About 10 ft away from me. He was doing meet and greets behind the fence...as the girls walked away he turned around and looked. Right at me! I waved and said hi and he waved back! Like what?!?! Phillip Phillips waved at me!!! Dream come true :)

Cameras weren't allowed in so I took all of these on my phone so the quality isn't thaaat great. I took hundreds of photos so I will only put a few here

If you thought just going to the concert and him waving to me was amazing....get this...he liked two of my posts on Instagram and favorites my tweet to him! Woooo!!! He noticed me!!

That was a huge deal for me even though it is just something small!

After Phillip's concert, we waited by his tour bus for an hour and a half...hoping he would come outside so that I could meet him. Sadly I wasn't able to, but I did meet the people that opened for him!

Her name is LP...if you haven't heard of her here's a link to one of her music videos

So this weekend got EVEN BETTER!!
On the way up to cincy, my mom and I bought tickets to see TIM MCGRAW!! His concert was the next night at the same place. Since we bought the tickets the day before the concert, we weren't sure how great our seats would be. We were oh so wrong. (My mom actually started crying because she was so excited) I grew up listening to Tim McGraw because he has been my moms favorite singer for as long as I can remember. Seven years ago, my third grade year, we went to see him with Faith Hill for my very first concert. So my mom has been waiting seven years to see him again!! We finally got the chance to! Get this...7TH ROW!

Opening for Tim, was Casidee Pope and Kip Moore. I love them both!

After a little rain, Tim finally came out! Getting a little wet from the rain was worth it. He puts on such an amazing show. By far the best concert I've ever been to!
I may or may not have taken 500 pictures at Tim's concert...so here's a few of them:

One of the coolest things I have ever witnessed happened at this concert...Tim started talking about the military and being American. As he did this EVERYONE in the audience started chanting USA USA USA! I would say there was about 30,000 or more of us. As we were all doing this, people started pushing someone to the stage. Tim pulled him on stage. He was a solider. It gives me chills just thinking about it. He stood on stage chanting with us all and Tim kneeled down behind him and the spotlight was put on the soldier. It was just so amazing to see.

What's a great concert you have been to recently?

Last week I went to my younger cousin, Morgan's 8th grade graduation as I have previously talked about. We had her graduation party and it was so sweet!
They obviously weren't paying much attention to me, but this is Morgan and one of her good friends, Sam.
My aunt and uncle put a picture of Morgan from her first day of kindergarten on the cake! I wonder what the people making this cake thought about it...they probably had a nice laugh.
My uncle also wrote a poem for Morgan for her graduation. It was so cute! She's growing up :)

I had my last final yesterday!! I'm officially a junior now!!! I studied so much I think my brain is worn out.
I studied for 5 straight hours for chemistry!! 5 hours!! Buuuut I got through it with the help of my man, Phillip Phillips
I think we all can tell what the real accomplishment was here....I listened to 5 straight hours of Phillip Phillips :)
I had to get all of my books together for book buybacks at school yesterday. It was stressful...trying to fit all the freshman, sophomores and juniors in the cafeteria, not the best idea.
Two nights ago was the last night with my tablet...as much as I hate having to use it for school, I'm gonna miss the little guy. I loved having my own laptop!

Yesterday was probably one of the best school days I've ever had. Since I have my restricted now, my parents actually let me drive to school! I woke up at 5:30 am (I'm actually surprised I got up!) I got ready and ate breakfast
I drove over to my best friend, Lexie's house to pick her up. 6:30 am, right on the nose. We drove over to Starbucks, being the tipical teenage girls we are :) I got the blended strawberry lemonade....by far one of my favorites. Then headed off to school and got there about 30 minutes before the first bell, huge success in my book.
After taking my last exams, chemistry and geometry, I met up with Lexie in the cafeteria and we walked to the car together.
We drove over to panera, hoping to beat the lunch rush. Baaaaaad idea to go to panera at noon....literally no where to park. So surprise, surprise we went to Mcallisters :) after lunch we walked across the parking lot to hobby lobby
We decided to get a little crafty on our first day of summer by making pocket tshirts!
I picked out this pretty, pink chevron pocket
Lexie went with a classic, gray chevron pocket.

We also bought some tie dye to use tomorrow night!
We got back in the car and drove over to target, one of the best places on earth, to buy some white vnecks to tie dye. She also had me try my first naked juice!
The strawberry banana was so good! Definitely getting it again.
We went on a walk....got rained on. It was actually fun :)
After the rain cleared up we drove over to my boyfriends house, he needed some help with correcting some math homework. With me being that odd kid who loves to do math, I was excited to help.
Later last night we grabbed some vanilla ice cream and surprised our friend, Matthew with it. He has just gotten his wisdom teeth out three days ago and was a little swollen still.

SUMMER DAY 1

Today we woke up at 11, it was such a great feeling to sleep in. Lexie made eggs for me and my other best friend, Katelyn.
After just hanging out for a while and watching some What not to Wear, Katelyn and I jumped in the car to go get sweet tea. Where might we go? Hmmm how about the place I talk about in almost every blog post. MCALLISTERS! This time, we decided to go big or go home.
Two gallons of sweet tea, three girls....challenge accepted.
Katelyn snuck a cool looking panorama when I got in the car.

Well today marks the day where I got gas all by myself! Look at me gettin all old and such. I still can't believe that $10 only got me 3 gallons. Stupid gas prices.

Katelyn and I got kinda hungry so we picked up lunch for everyone.
While it may not be the healthiest choice, it was fun! (I know this is so not paleo approved, but hey...first day of summer. I took a little break)

While drinking my sweet teas and enjoying the nice weather on the back porch, Katelyn gave me a tattoo!! Well...a sharpie tattoo.
I had seen on Pinterest before that you could make temporary tattoos by drawing it in sharpie, rubbing on some baby powder then spraying it with some hair spray. It actually worked!!
Katelyn drew birds on my right foot
And wrote love on the inside of my left foot....this one started to rub off because of my sandles, but I'll touch it up later.

I've been so busy!! Hopefully I'll get to blog more over the summer!

How has your summer been?

My Night In Pictures

Thursday, May 22, 2014

My night all in pictures!
My Dad picked me up from school and took me to McAllister's to get a sweet tea (yum!) then we met my brother, Ricky, over at the movie theater...

Ricky complained about how expensive his popcorn and drink was.....
While this may look like Ricky's arm....its actually my dad kicking butt in Galaga...his favorite arcade game.
We had to chill in the arcade for about 35 minutes because sooommeeeooonneee (*cough* dad *cough*) decided to get there an hour early.
I pretended to be cool and played the motorcycle racing game thing....needless to say i came in 5th...yay..?
Ricky played pac man for what seemed like for-ev-er
Left the arcade with one token left....one....how does that even happen?!
The movie theater is renovating and guess what all these boxes are...NEW SEATS! (i was way too excited for these)
Stole Ricky's popcorn while we watched previews and commercials
 Finally....GODZILLA!
We saw it in 3D....it kept me on the edge of my seat...so suspenseful. I fell in love with the movie! It's the first Godzilla movie I've ever seen. I was a little hesitant to go see it, but i really recommend it. By far exceeded my expectations...i went from almost crying to shaking because i was scared for the main characters! It was so easy to get emotionally attached to all of them. (i love movies like that) Sitting there, i felt like i was going through all of the emotions that the characters were going through...it was actually a little stressful (haha)
Aaron Taylor Johnson did a great job playing Ford in the movie
My mom tried a new Chicken Enchilada recipe she found off of Pinterest..it was great! But it was so filling
Ended my night studying for a chemistry quiz over stoichiometry for tomorrow
And of course...i had to listen to my phillip phillips in order to study
side note: I almost cried when Phillip sang on the American Idol finale with Sam! Sam was my favorite on the show and if you haven't been able to tell yet...Phillip Phillips is my favorite singer. He walked onto the stage and i was sitting at home on the couch with my family and my face got all red and i almost cried! I get so excited each time i see him preform! He is just so amazing :)

Have you seen Godzilla yet?
